Composite flower may have more potential for variation than any of the other flower patterns in this series. The first part, felted, is a fleur d’ease. The second unfelted part allows the knitter to use any yarn, regardless of weight, luxury or novelty, to create a floral element of almost endless variety. The ability to combine both elements gives the knitter immense flexbility in design and choice of colors and textures. Flowers can be small, medium, or huge, depending on preference.
